At the Dec. 10 City Council meeting, the City of San Marcos swore in newly elected Councilmember Danielle LeBlang to serve District 3 for a four-year term. Councilmember LeBlang will join Mayor Jones, Councilmember Nuñez, Councilmember Sannella and reelected Councilmember Musgrove. The City also thanked Deputy Mayor Sharon Jenkins for her service as she concluded her term on the City Council.
Since moving to San Marcos in 2016, Councilmember LeBlang has been heavily involved in the community. She currently serves on the Annual Auction Committee for the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos and is a member of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce. Councilmember LeBlang is also heavily involved in San Marcos education as co-chair of the PTO at her children’s school and teaches dance to developmentally disabled children at the TERI Campus of Life schools.
