SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Holiday travelers are flooding airports and highways to reach their destinations. Record travel numbers are expected this Christmas and New Year’s season, according to AAA, with Sacramento International Airport (SMF) seeing steady traffic.
Inside SMF’s Terminal B, travelers moved efficiently past the iconic red rabbit sculpture. For many, the journey was smoother than anticipated.
“It could have been a whole lot worse,” said Jane Copello with a laugh after arriving to greet her grandkids, noting a few minor traffic hiccups on I-5 from Linden.
Record Numbers Despite Challenges
