In a huge display of community support, Tampa’s Joy of Giving event gave out 19,000 gifts to more than 5,000 local families. The event happened on Dec. 21, 2024, packing the halls of Thaddeus M. Bullard Academy at Sligh Middle Magnet School. Leading this gift-giving effort was WWE star Titus O’Neil and the Bullard Family Foundation, supported by Fran Haasch Law Group, Love, Tito’s, and Amazon. Sheriff Chad Chronister of Hillsborough County kicked off a lively Gasparilla-style parade starting at 9:01 a.m.
“It’s very meaningful,” said Barbara Ryals to AOL. “My grandchildren, they mean the world to me, and something like this is what they really need to be around and stuff. And I just I can’t thank these people enough because that’s very helpful.”
Kids got into dance contests, with winners getting TVs and Beats headphones. Meanwhile, Santa and his helpers passed out gifts to students from nearby schools, while families got food and essential supplies…
