A Tavares woman was arrested on a charge of battery after allegedly attacking her partner for cooking dinner.
Deputies responded to a physical assault in progress at a Tavares residence, located at 31829 Tropical Shores Dr., around 8:29 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, the deputies met with the victim who stated she cooked dinner for her partner, 58-year-old Jill Lorraine Goodwin, and Goodwin became upset about it. She grabbed the victim by her hair and threw her on the floor. She then began to strike her on the head with her fists, the report said.
The victim ran to the door and started pulling on it, wherein Goodwin pushed the door shut to block her from leaving. Goodwin said she would call the police if the victim left and took her phone from her, the report said…
