Waterbury officers allegedly spotted man known by auto theft unit in stolen car

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A 20-year-old Oakville man was taken into custody last week after being spotted entering a stolen vehicle in Waterbury, according to police.

Andrew Adames has been charged with larceny of a motor vehicle. Members of the auto theft unit known him from other cases, according to police.

The stolen 2020 Nissan Altima was found at 1:30 p.m. Thursday on Watertown Avenue in Waterbury after being stolen from Watertown. Adames had the key fob on him when he was arrested, according to police…
