Univ. of Iowa denies appeal to lift suspension of fraternity over possible hazing

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – The University of Iowa has denied an appeal from one of its fraternities to lift a temporary suspension first put into place for possible hazing.

The university suspended its Alpha Delta Phi chapter after police found 56 pledges blindfolded with food thrown on them in the fraternity house’s basement last month.

In its appeal to the university, the fraternity says it conducted its own third party investigation, and found two members were responsible…
