Crows take over 17th Street in downtown Denver

There’s a murder on 17th Street.

Hundreds of crows invaded from all directions in November in a hovering black mass and roosted on bare trees that rise out of the concrete. Since then, every day at dusk, they return to 17th Street between Larimer and Curtis — a slice of nature in the urban zone.

One onlooker in a knit devil-horn cap was suspicious: “It’s like evil emanating from the Westin Hotel.”…
