Rose Parade Float Features Adorable Adopted Pets as Flower Sculptures & It’s Downright Perfect

The first Rose Parade was held on January 1, 1890, and the annual event produced by the non-profit Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association that takes place before the Rose Bowl has been enchanting spectators ever since. The parade features around 40-some floats that have to be covered in flowers or other natural materials, and for the second year in a row there will be one very special float going down the parade route in Pasadena.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition is partnering with Pasadena Humane for a second year at the Rose Parade, with a float that celebrates the life-changing power of pet adoption. The float, titled “Welcome Home,” is a tribute to the joy and unconditional love adopted pets bring into our lives. Every dog and cat featured on the float has been adopted from Pasadena Humane with support from Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love Program.
