Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia delivers 1,800 Christmas Eve meals to those in need

MACON, Ga. — Tuesday, volunteers for Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia rolled up their sleeves to serve up a helping of Christmas Joy. Meals were provided to home-bound, senior and hospice patients along with Macon’s homeless community.

Program Director Jason Beck said it was an opportunity for them to sit down and enjoy a Christmas dinner.

“They don’t have to just grab a plate and go, they actually can kind of take a load off and sit down and enjoy a meal without being rushed,” Beck said…
