Virginia man sentenced for trafficking fentanyl to New Jersey

NEWARK, N.J. (WRIC) — A Virginia man has been sentenced after trafficking illegal drugs to New Jersey multiple times.

Djavon Holland, 37, of Virginia, was convicted by a federal jury on two counts of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl on Monday, Dec. 23. He was sentenced to 180 months in prison with four years of supervised release.

According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), law enforcement received a tip that Holland was trafficking narcotics in and around Virginia and New Jersey in August 2021…
