Former LaVergne Police Chief accused of violating order of protection

NASHVILLE, Tenn.–The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) reports the arrest of a former LaVergne Police Chief on accusations he violated an order of protection.

MPD arrested Burrel Davis at a Murfreesboro apartment complex on Monday on a warrant for aggravated stalking. The former LaVergne Police Department Chief was fired following a sex scandal within the department involving several officers.

Just under two weeks ago, the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission voted to decertify Davis, meaning he can no longer be a peace officer in Tennessee…
