Restaurants, bars, and nightclubs in West Hollywood’s iconic LGBT Rainbow District have embraced the holiday spirit by lighting up with Christmas decorations in hopes of attracting a festive crowd and drumming up some business. From The Abbey WeHo to Motherlode Bar, Micky’s restaurant and nightclub, Trunks, Schmitty’s, and other nearby nightlife establishments, businesses displayed varying levels of holiday flair. Those that fully understood the assignment, elevated the charm of Santa Monica Boulevard’s westside, creating a vibrant and inviting holiday party atmosphere.

The Rainbow District, historically known as “Boystown,” but is now referred to as The LGBT Rainbow district (or just The Rainbow District) has long been a cultural and social hub for the LGBTQ+ community. Stretching along Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega and Robertson Boulevards, this area is famous for its role in LGBTQ+ advocacy, nightlife, and community-building. It hosts internationally renowned events such as WeHo Pride and the Halloween Carnaval, drawing visitors from around the world.
