Cloudy And Mainly Dry End To Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everyone! Today has been a beautiful day with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures climbing into the middle and upper 50s. Expect a light southeasterly breeze through the evening with increasing cloud cover overnight. A small chance of seeing some isolated pockets of drizzle exist over parts of Northwest Alabama after sunset, but most locations will stay completely dry. Temperatures will trend slightly warmer in the lower and middle 40s through Thursday morning.

Thursday should be a great day to enjoy some time outside with a mix of sun and clouds. High temperatures will remain above average in the middle to upper 50s with breezy winds at times. Winds could gust as high as 20 to 25 miles per hour, especially during the evening, so secure any loose outdoor objects.

The pattern becomes more active by Friday and into the weekend with the first round of showers and embedded thunderstorms moving in from the west Friday morning and through the afternoon. Saturday should bring another wave of widespread rainfall and thunderstorms to the Tennessee Valley, but no severe weather is in the forecast…
