Dog Rescued From Christmas Day Structure Fire in Winchester

WINCHESTER, Calif., Dec. 26 (KNN) — Firefighters rescued a small dog from a home that caught fire Christmas evening.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department received multiple reports of a residential structure fire in the 31000 block of Verde Mare Drive in the unincorporated area of Winchester around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find light smoke coming from the structure and began to make an offensive attack on the fire. During the firefighters’ search, they rescued one dog inside the structure.

No residents were home at the time of the fire. According to bystanders, the residents are out of town for the holidays…
