Sheriff’s Office In Florida Makes Generous Offer To Return $1.7 Million In Lost Cocaine

A sheriff’s office in Florida is going above and beyond to reunite a suspected drug smuggler with their lost loot: 25 kilos of cocaine, estimated to be worth $1.7 million.

In a humorous Facebook post, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey announced that the cocaine, neatly packaged and adorned with a scorpion logo, was discovered by a fisherman after apparently falling off a boat off the Brevard County coast.

“All of us at one point or another in our lives have lost or misplaced something important and are always hopeful that a good Samaritan or an incredibly kind person will find our lost item and do the right thing by returning it to its rightful owner,” Sheriff Ivey wrote.

In the spirit of doing the right thing, the Sheriff’s Office is inviting the owner of the cocaine to come forward and claim their property, “with absolutely no strings attached.”…
