Suspect arrested for attempted murder in violent Medford sword attack

A man faces a string of felony charges accusing him of grabbing a sword from a wall display and allegedly using the weapon to violently attack a man inside a west Medford home.

Marzelle Omari Tyree Curtis Culver, 24, was arrested Thursday night on charges of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and attempted first-degree assault on accusations he entered the victim’s home shortly before 6 p.m. in the 1000 block of Beatty Street and attacked the victim unprovoked with the weapon, according to a release issued Friday by Medford police…
