SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A High Wind Watch is soon to be in effect for a portion of San Diego County with gusty winds expected to impact the region from Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Residents in the region’s mountain and valley areas are being urged to prepare for potentially hazardous conditions, including the possibility of power outages and difficult travel.
The warning comes as northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts reaching up to 55 mph in eastern portions of the valleys. The strongest winds, however, are forecast to occur near the foothills of San Diego’s mountains.
