KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Around 1,100 Knox County seniors rely on Mobile Meals for a hot, nutritious meal throughout the week. When it gets colder, these meals become even more crucial, and up to 150 people volunteer daily to deliver them — including Teresa Prislovsky. She said she has volunteered with the program for around 5 years.
“It’s such a huge need in our community and so many of the folks can’t get out of their house to go shopping and to get groceries,” she said. “There’s some great people out there. I know I’ve met some wonderful folks and I look forward to seeing them when I deliver.”
