MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) was the first school system in the DMV to announce a third consecutive snow day this week, canceling all schools and offices through Wednesday, Jan. 8.
Areas across the D.C. area received more than 5 inches of snow Monday (some much more than that) as the storm passed through, leaving icy, hazardous conditions. As a result, many school systems around the DMV have announced school closures on Monday, Tuesday and – now – Wednesday.
