GRANDVIEW, Wash. – Grandview High School’s boys basketball team is gearing up for the 2024-25 season with high expectations. After finishing as state runner-up last year, the team is determined to make another strong run. Last season marked their first appearance in the state title game since 2002.
Grandview, seeded second, defeated Prosser in the quarterfinals and North Kitsap in the semifinals before falling to Lynden in the final. The loss highlighted a significant advantage for Lynden, which has motivated the Greyhounds to improve.
Senior point guard Marcelino Armendariz said, “It lit a big fire under all of us to work as hard as we can in the offseason. Get bigger, stronger because really, a factor was, we were the smaller and weaker guys. So we all hit the weight room pretty hard, and we stayed in the gym, got a lot of shots up, so we’re ready.”…
