Cool temps to continue; Much of Treasure Coast to see 40s, possible upper 30s inland

Colder-than-normal temperatures are expected to persist into the weekend, a meteorologist said.

No cold records or near freezing temperatures were recorded across the Treasure overnight Monday into Tuesday, with most records set in the mid-to-upper 20s in 2010, said Derrick Weitlich, with the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Melbourne.

Recorded lows in Vero Beach, Fort Pierce and Stuart early Tuesday were 46, 45 and 48 degrees, respectively, while wind chill values in those areas brought temperatures down to what felt like low-to-mid 40s…
