KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — As Storm Team 6 continues to track the winter weather , the Knoxville Fire Department is preparing for the forecasted snow.
“The National Weather Service is updating us very regularly right now. Tomorrow afternoon we’ll have a big update,” said Knoxville Assistant Fire Chief Mark Wilbanks. “Once we get that update tomorrow afternoon we’ll probably really know what’s going to happen at that point.”

Part of that planning includes getting the department’s equipment ready to field calls.
“We’ve already had some folks meeting, some of our teams have talked together talking about our quick-response vehicles that we’ll put out on the roads. Things like that, making sure we got our snow chains, making sure our trucks are ready to go,” Wilbanks said…
