Peter Latimore, Jr., 43, from Zephyrhills, has been indicted on charges related to a series of armed robberies across the Tampa Bay area. Latimore, who has a prior conviction for five robberies, is accused of using a firearm to intimidate clerks during these crimes, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office release.
Between October 2 and November 22, 2024, Latimore allegedly targeted businesses in Tampa, Brandon, Zephyrhills, and Plant City, including supermarkets and a beauty supply shop. He approached service desks and displayed a firearm. On one occasion, he threatened a clerk, demanding she act quickly or he would shoot her. Latimore faces charges of interference of commerce by robbery, attempted robbery, use of a firearm during a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
