Tips to keep your pipes from freezing

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Water is an everyday necessity, and with temperatures expected to reach the single digits, it could be taken away at a moment’s notice if your pipes freeze and burst.

In that emergency scenario, the problems could expand beyond having no water.

“Oh, it can definitely do some damage depending where it’s at — like we see them a lot of times in crawl spaces, so it definitely will damage wood and the contents within a crawl space. It’s just a huge nuisance more than anything not having water,” said Tom Orcutt with Mullen Plumbing Heating and Cooling.
