Laramie’s Tessa Dodd is the WyoPreps Volleyball Athlete of the Year 2024-25 [VIDEO]

Laramie junior Tessa Dodd is the WyoPreps Athlete of the Year Award winner for volleyball in the 2024-25 school year. The honor is presented by Premier Bone and Joint Centers of Wyoming. Dodd helped Laramie to a 32-2 record, a state runner-up finish, and a regional title, and was one of the top players in 4A throughout the season.

Dodd earned the second all-state honor of her high school career and was chosen as the 4A Player of the Year by the coaches. Dodd averaged 4.2 kills per set, second-best in 4A. She led Laramie with 382 kills, 60 service aces, and 289 digs during the 2024 season. Dodd finished in the top 10 of Class 4A in aces per set, hitting percentage, and kills per set. She led LHS to a 32-2 record last fall. They were 12-0 and won the 4A East Conference. Laramie added a 4A East Regional championship and took second at the 4A state championships.

Tessa spoke to WyoPreps’ David Settle, who presented the award, in a video interview. Dodd discussed her junior season, thanked her teammates and coaches for helping her succeed at a high level, described the season, despite a bittersweet ending, her commitment to Oregon in the recruiting process, and more…
