State Superintendent launches campaign to support schools impacted by Southern California wildfires

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – As wildfires continue to devastate Southern California, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond has launched a fundraising campaign to aid students, families, educators, and school staff affected by the crisis.

Donations can be made to the SupplyBank.org Disaster Relief Fund, with all contributions being tax-deductible and aimed at providing much-needed assistance.

The latest reports reveal that 335 schools across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura and San Diego counties have closed, disrupting education for more than 211,000 students.
