Willy Adames Is The Worst Buy On The Free Agent Market
I’m not entirely sure how to set the stage for this post other than by coming right out and saying it. I can’t believe somebody gave Willy Adames the type of contract the Giants did . Adames sure feels like the single worst buy on the free agent market and it’s likely going to be a contract the Giants regret.
The Dodgers were one team who was already been reported as a serious suitor before the Giants ultimately landed him. It should speak volumes that Andrew Friedman, who knew Adames well during his time with the Rays, was okay with being outbid here by a division rival. My mind is blown that someone went to these lengths to land Adames.
