Crash blocks lanes of 14th Street Bridge in SW DC, delays stretch to Virginia

WASHINGTON (7News) — At least one injury was reported after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 395 northbound at the 14th Street Bridge in Southwest D.C., causing significant delays on Thursday morning.

DC Fire and EMS responded to the incident just before 5:30 a.m. and officials urged drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Traffic was directed by police, but backups extend into Virginia, beginning near VA-110.

Just before 7 a.m., the closures were cleared and the incident was contained to the right shoulder of Exit 2/Potomac Park…
