Taxpayer money meant for the elderly has allegedly been stolen by a Massachusetts official, squirreled away, and spent on some terrible, but slightly hilarious, personal items.

Thomas Clasby, ex-director of the Quincy Department of Elder Services, allegedly started skimming the taxes reserved primarily for the well-being of the elderly in 2019. This is a flagrant abuse of power, and his greed didn’t flag up for five years.
In this time he had allegedly managed to siphon off tens of thousands of dollars from the money destined for humanitarian purposes. He apparently used the extra cash to treat himself to some rather extravagant treats too.
Records now show that he spent a total of $2,236 on 153 pounds of bourbon steak tips. He also went ahead and invested in his career as a pop star. The Massachusetts official allegedly spent $8,950 of taxpayer money on a music studio to record his singing. Sadly, I couldn’t find his SoundCloud.
