‘You chose to drink and drive, and you killed her’ | Driver sentenced for crash that killed 2 people

COMMERCE CITY, Colorado — The man convicted in a 2020 crash that killed a Commerce City detective and another woman was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections.

Fructuoso Rosales-Cano, 49, was convicted in November of vehicular homicide – DUI after a three-day trial in Adams County District Court. The judge sentenced him to 10 years on each conviction to be served consecutively for a total of 20 years.
