The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm advisory for Columbia and other portions of central South Carolina. The advisory is effective as of 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 until 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Cities and towns in the advisory area include Columbia, Lexington, West Columbia, Cayce, Red Bank, Batesburg-Leesville, Oak Grove, Springfield, North, Orangeburg, Sumter, Martinez, Neeses, North Augusta, Augusta, Summerton, Evans, Thomson, Seven Oaks, Bishopville, Brookdale, St. Mathews, Aiken, and Manning.
