MIDDLETOWN — Martin Luther King Jr. Day is just around the corner and so is a local play honoring the renowned civil rights leader.
Selah Theatre Project’s upcoming performance of “The Mountaintop” by Katori Hall presents a fictional version of King’s final hours before his assassination, humanizing the 39-year-old activist and concluding with a call to action.
“Imagined though it is, it shows the human side of him,” said Joanne Thompson, an actress in the show. “… Even the most wonderful people or the most illustrious people that we come across in our lifetime, they’re still human.”…
