Former Gloucester County Sheriff Jonathan Sammons, who lost re-election in 2024 by 569 votes, will seek the Republican nomination for Gloucester County Commissioner this year to help the GOP capture control of county government for the first time in decades.
Sammons is running with businessman and philanthropist Byron Driscoll, the owner of the popular Mount Royal Inn, in a bid to unseat incumbents Frank DiMarco and Denice DiCarlo.
