BINGHAMTON, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – A local food pantry is getting $10,000 from Norfolk Southern Railroad.
The United Way of Broome County’s Healthy Lifestyle Coalition operates a food pantry out of the Lee Barta Community Center in Binghamton. The pantry serves roughly 35 families a week.
Families shop around the pantry like a traditional grocery store and take five days worth of food. Once a month, the pantry gives out hygiene products like shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and more…
