CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — The Charleston City Council announced an appointment for Ward 15 after Sam Minardi announced his resignation last week after serving on the chamber for 13 years.
Harper Gardner, of Charleston, was appointment to fill the seat during the Charleston City Council meeting Thursday evening and will begin serving immediately.
“It is an absolute honor to be able to accept the nomination to represent Ward 15 on City Council,” said Council Member Harper Gardner said in a statement. “I want to congratulate Council Member Sam Minardi on his retirement and thank him for his legacy of incredible and dedicated service to Ward 15 and the City of Charleston.
