CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A crowd filled Charleston City Hall as Mayor Amy Goodwin addressed the accomplishments of this past year – including work on the Capital Connector Project, capitalizing on the sports tourism industry and revitalization of city neighborhoods. Mayor Goodwin also introduced a new council member, Harper Gardner.
“It was an incredible night,” Mayor Goodwin said. “Not only did we have all of our senior staff members here, we had every single director in the city of Charleston. We also welcomed a new council member tonight, Harper Gardner. Council member Gardner is gonna do an excellent job.”
This comes after the resignation of Sam Minardi who served on city council for more than 13 years. Gardner however is no stranger when it comes to city government…
