SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Less than a week since Cal Poly split results against conference foe Cal State Bakersfield, the Mustangs will celebrate their seniors in a final home meet against UC Santa Cruz.
Cal Poly and UC Santa Cruz have a storied history of facing each other with the Mustangs having swept every matchup in the last 15 years of results that are kept. Since 2008, the Mustangs have only avoided facing the Banana Slugs in a dual meet twice, 2019-20’s COVID season and 2016-17.
Last season featured a dominant pair of victories with the men winning 237-60 and the women 224-69.
