On Thursday at 8:16 p.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Friday 10 a.m. until Saturday 4 a.m. for Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.
“Total snow accumulations between 6 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph,” can be anticipated according to the weather service. “I-84 along Meacham is only expected to see about 1 to 2 inches of snowfall.”
“Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. Periods of moderate and heavy snow will combine with low visibilities to create difficult driving conditions. Gusty winds could cause blowing snow,” explains the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
