Nashville restaurant manager bringing Southern-style diner concept to central Ohio

No matter what part of the country you’re from, southern cooking is beloved. From fried chicken, to grits and cornbread, one of our favorite parts of southern travel is sitting down for a delicious meal.

Soon, Columbus won’t have to travel too far to get some straight-from-Nashville cooking. Nashville restaurant and bar manager, Myles Deschner, is bringing a new diner called Broadway Standard to Grove City, taking over the current Pontone’s Music space at 3911 Broadway.

The plans for Broadway Standard were submitted to Grove City at the end of December from The Standard Restaurant Group LLC. The restaurant plans to create an inviting atmosphere, “where all are welcome and everyone is family.” Diners can initially get a “hardy elevated” southern breakfast or lunch from 7:00am – 2:30pm daily, with plans to eventually expand operating hours to 9:00pm to offer dinner. A licensed bar that will pair craft cocktails, wine, and locally brewed beer with various menu offerings is also in the works…
