WASHINGTON (7News) — Gloria and William McCaskill have conquered decades of challenges during their 66-year marriage. However, there is one challenge they can’t seem to overcome – and the couple called 7News desperate for help.
Gloria is 87 years old, and can’t find her original birth certificate which she was told she needs in order to get a new ID card. The McCaskill’s went to the Department of Motor Vehicles, Social Security Administration, and Census Bureau – and they said all the offices told them they had to go to the D.C. Vital Records Office.
“We go to vital statistics,” William said. “And this is when I find out they don’t have any record of her birth.”…
