State trooper shoots 17-year-old in Humble, constables say

A 17-year-old is in unknown condition after he was shot by a state trooper in Humble Friday, according to reports from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Lt. Craig Cummings with DPS said in a Friday news conference that the shooting happened after a trooper conducting a routine traffic stop identified “indicators of drug activity” in a vehicle driven by a woman with a male passenger.
