The former King Soopers building at Baseline Road and U.S. 287 in Lafayette is not expected to stay vacant much longer.
According to Lafayette Communications Director Debbie Wilmot and City Administrator Kady Doelling, VASA Fitness will move into the space. During a December Lafayette City Council meeting, Doelling confirmed that according to the city’s contact with Kroger, the parent company of King Soopers and owners of the former King Soopers building in Lafayette, VASA will become a tenant at the space. The city is working with VASA to develop a timeframe to change the building from a grocery store to a fitness center. Information about that timeframe is not yet available.
Doelling said she is happy to see the building find a new tenant quickly, and hopes VASA helps create new jobs and revitalize the area again. VASA Fitness is a fitness club and gym with multiple membership options. VASA Fitness did not respond to requests for comment…
