However, it transitioned to cold rain by midday with temperatures rising well-above-freezing. Steady soaking rain continues Friday afternoon. High temperatures range from the upper 30s to low 40s. Rain departs Friday night, but clouds linger. Temperatures fall into the low to mid 30s overnight.

In the colder spots north, water on roads may freeze Friday night. Be wary of black ice if you are traveling early Saturday morning. Sunshine may gradually return Saturday afternoon.
