SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Santa Anas winds blustered the inland valleys and mountains Thursday amid a continued Red Flag Warning , with some areas in the region experiencing wind speeds over over 75 mph.
The National Weather Service issues this type of warning when weather conditions are expected to create an increased risk for fire danger. The county has been on high alert this week as several fires continue to rage north in Los Angeles , where the winds have only fueled the flames.

A new Wind Gust Report was released Friday morning by the National Weather Service, showing peak wind speeds from Thursday morning to present.
