Leading San Juan Capistrano, new Mayor Troy Bourne hopes to continue growing the town into a family-friendly city and destination for South Orange County and beyond.
Even though he grew up in the San Fernando Valley, just north of Los Angeles, he spent much time in San Juan. Whether it was family time or enjoyment, Bourne has been involved with the city for a long time.
“ I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and my wife, Mandy, and I went to middle school together. When we were finishing high school, her family was here in San Juan Capistrano, so we were here often,” Bourne said. “We were married closer to LA, but the evening reception was in San Juan Capistrano. So, we’ve been in and around San Juan Capistrano since we started dating. Even in high school, we took the train down here, got off, and then spent the weekend with family. San Juan Capistrano has been a part of our family for a long time.”…
