TROY — After going without a city comptroller for six months, Republican Mayor Carmella Mantello announced Thursday the city has hired a comptroller who has banking and lending experience but no municipal finance experience apart from his budget work as a Sand Lake Town Board member.
Jack L. Krokos, 32, will start his new post as city comptroller on Monday. He will receive a salary of $125,000, a mayoral spokesman said.
