TAUNTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A woman from the Taunton pled guilty for stealing nearly $27,000 worth of products through a coupon scheme.
Rhode Island man accused of stealing police cruiser due in court
Jacqueline White , 42, used at least 3,300 counterfeit coupons at more than a dozen Stop & Shop grocery stores in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, according to our NBC affiliate WJAR. Court documents also indicate that she had a suspected accomplice, 41-year-old Crystal Travis .
Police said White and Travis used social media sites and apps like Facebook and Dropbox to purchase the fake coupons.
White was found guilty to larceny by false pretenses and received a three-year suspended sentence.
