Delay In Installation Of Traffic Control System At Pinehurst Dr. & Boyers Mill Rd.

Frederick County officials say it will go on line in early February.

Frederick, Md (KM) There’s been a delay in the installation of a new traffic control system at the intersection of Pinehurst Drive and Boyers Mill Road. The Frederick County Division of Public Works Traffic and Permitt Section says due to recent winter weather and unexpected material delays, the portable traffic signals won’t be operational at that intersection until on or around February 3rd.

DPW says the new portable traffic signals are needed due to limited sight distance and the 12-percent grade on Boyers Mill Road. The agency says this is not sufficient to observe vehicle speeds and driver decision making. The new traffic control system will provide improved conditions for Pinehurst…..
