SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Representatives with the Four Winds Invitational paid a very special visit to Beacon Children’s Hospital on Friday afternoon.
The Pokagon Band and its Four Winds Casinos donated something of a windfall — $100,000 from last year’s golf tournament to help buy supplies for the young patients at Beacon.
“This has been a fantastic partnership for us,” says Jen Tonkovich, the director of women and children’s services at Memorial hospital. “Over the last 14 years, we’ve received over $1.1 million in donations as a result of this event. The equipment we purchase with this helps to remain state-of-the-art in the care that provide for patients in the community.”…
