Stay safe on the ice: DNR urges safety, offers advice for Michigan’s winter adventurers

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — As Michigan experiences several days with below-freezing temperatures, many people are heading out to the ice for activities like ice fishing.

With that being the case, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is urging caution when people go on or around the ice.
